Business Integration at a telecommunications operator
A telecommunications operator received 5+ proposals for a mixture of hardware, software and services for their key future projects to provide faster internet connections. All responded to the same “book of business”.
Within the defined cross-functional sourcing team, we proposed to initiate a dynamic online bidding event (reverse auction) which was the company’s first experience with this technology.
The outcome was impressive; high levels of project savings were achieved within a few hours without affecting quality at all. A more traditional approach to the negotiations would not have produced the same results.
